Dr. William Pfaffenberger - CEO

Dr. Pfaffenberger is President and CEO of Torch River Resources having joined that company in April 2006. He is a retired Professor of mathematics who was a member of  the Mathematics and Statistics Dept at the University of Victoria for 38 years.  He served as a Member of the Board of Governors, was Chair of his department and served as Chair of the Board of Pension Trustees for 11 years overseeing a fund of over $400 million.  He has a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.  Besides being a director of Torch River Resources  he also serves as a director of three other public companies, Rainchief Energy Inc, Molycor Gold Corp and Goldrea Resources Corp.  He is also President of a private minerals company, Fundamental Resources Corp. 

Andrew R. Male - CFO/Director

Mr. Male brings over 20 years of business management experience. This comes from his ownership and operations of companies in the fields of commercial and residential construction and mortgage brokerage. In the public markets; Mr. Male has been involved in companies that have developed internet sports training tools, mineral and resource exploration and the industrials sector. 

Warren Boyd - Director

Mr. Boyd is a Fellow of the Gemmological. Association & Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain (F.G.A.), a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada (F.G.A.C.) and a Fellow of the Canadian Gemmological Association (F.C.Gm.A.). Mr. Boyd is an experienced international coloured gemstone and diamond evaluation and marketing expert. He has acted as a technical advisor and rough diamond valuator to a number of corporations involved in diamond exploration and mining. He has also been a consultant to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and to Canada Customs and Excise. From 1997-2005 he was a team member of Diamonds International Canada (DICAN) Ltd. who were appointed as the Canadian Government Diamond Valuators (CGDV) under contract to the Government of Canada. He has attended numerous CGDV valuations of the Ekati and Diavik Diamond Mine rough diamond production on behalf of DICAN.

David S. Tam, BSc (Pharm) LLB - Director

Mr. Tam has been a partner of the law firm of Parlee and McLaws LLP of Alberta since 1999. He was called to the bar in 1990, and specializes in securities transactions and has developed extensive experience in numerous securities and corporate matters. Mr. Tam has represented both issuers and agents for a variety of public offerings, private placements and regulatory compliance matters for issuers listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange.

Dr. David Madill, M.D

Dr Madill ran a successful medical practice in Victoria B.C. from 1970 until his retirement in July, 2007. He has a long standing interest in the financing of small mining companies and has helped in fundraising for several of these. He is presently a director of three other TSX Venture companies: Goldrea Resources Corp, Molycor Gold Corp and Torch River Resources Ltd. He has served as an independent member of the audit committee of each of these companies and is chairman of the audit committee for Goldrea Resources Corp. Dr. Madill will be the chair of the audit committee of Sola. He holds a Doctorate in Medicine degree.
